2022 - Present

I have been playing club soccer since I was six years old! In 2021, I became a full-time goalkeeper. We practice 2-3 times per week and play in games and tournaments on the weekends. Soccer really lets my brain unwind!

During every game, my focus is on the player running towards me at full speed, the ball, and how I am going to stop it. Coaches and parents yell from the sidelines, louder and louder as she gets closer to me. Within a millisecond, I have to decide how I'm going to stop that goal.

The best part about playing soccer is seeing my team throughout the week. Though practices can be challenging on top of my other responsibilities, I always have a good time with them. Soccer taught me the importance of teamwork. We push each other when we're tired, celebrate together when we win, and take losses as a team knowing that we either win or lose together.

Beyond soccer, I also enjoy futsal—soccer played indoors, usually on a basketball court, with fewer players and a much faster pace. I actually started playing futsal before soccer. For the past two years, I have played competitive futsal in between outdoor soccer seasons. Futsal trains me to make quick decisions in the goal and to use my feet faster. I like playing with girls from different clubs and meeting new people!

Peninsula Softball League

2021 - 2022

I have played softball for three seasons. I enjoy playing a second sport and meeting a new team of girls to play with! During softball games, we sing songs and cheer on our batters and pitchers.
